Abstract:

Brake technology improved, however, the braking devices on the mass types of rolling stock remain the same or undergo some renovation. Be aware that transportation is carried out by hundreds of thousands of freight cars and tens of thousands of passenger working on the Railways. Currently released cars and locomotives are mostly equipped with brake devices, which will run more than a dozen years, but the development of brake technology is mainly still in the same direction – the improvement of air valves. More broadly develop the control, the brakes on modern locomotives. This article describes the main stages of development of braking systems of railway rolling stock.
